Without Search Engine Submission you can't see much traffic on your site. You have let all major search engines that you are here. You just need to submit your home url on major search engines & most of them do the rest (except altavista). You can also use numerous paid directory submission sites, but keep in mind, only rich contents can help you move up on the ladder.
